Sharon Roth, Surgical Coordinator

After candy-striping in my junior and senior years of high school, I knew my career path could only be Healthcare. After graduating, I began working as a phlebotomist while studying Medical Technology. I chose to remain a phlebotomist so I could be directly involved in patient treatment and care. I returned to school part time to become a paramedic, volunteering on weekends. Sometime later, I returned to school for the third time, specializing in Cardiovascular Technology. During my years working with physicians and patients, I also joined the faculty of my alma mater, The School of Cardiovascular Technology. Eventually I advanced to practice management, however never giving up my clinical involvement, my passion. After many years, I have found the best role of all – as a surgery coordinator/staff liaison. It is the perfect merging of what I love about this profession – working with physicians and patients to create a smooth and comfortable process
