Renuvion for Skin Resurfacing

What is Renuvion Skin Resurfacing?

This revolutionary skin resurfacing treatment is changing the aesthetic industry. Dr. Paul Ruff is proud to offer Renuvion Skin Resurfacing. Renuvion uses incredibly precise cold energy to turn back the hands of time and dramatically reduce the signs of aging. While the Renuvion Face and Renuvion Body procedures use cold plasma energy under the skin, Renuvion skin resurfacing uses cold plasma on the surface of the skin to ablate and smooth – virtually taking years off your face.

How Much Does Renuvion Resurfacing Cost in Washington, DC?

The cost of Renuvion Resurfacing starts at around $10,000. The price will vary depending on the extent of treatment necessary to deliver your desired results. During your consultation, our surgeons will assess your cosmetic goals and develop a treatment plan tailored to meet them. The starting price is provided for your convenience, and it is important to note that it does not encompass facility or anesthesia fees. The comprehensive cost, inclusive of all potential fees, will be confirmed during your visit.

We also offer financing options, including CareCredit® and Alphaeon®, to help you with the cost of your cosmetic surgery.

Renuvion Skin Resurfacing Treatment

Renuvion skin resurfacing uses cold plasma energy to promote skin tightening and rejuvenation, as well as encouraging your skin to regrow new cells. Utilizing ionized helium gas, Dr. Ruff is able to ablate tissue at an extremely low, controlled temperature. This allows for minimal collateral damage to surrounding tissue. The technology was developed for controlled and precise medical applications such as removing cancerous lesions and was found to be beneficial in aesthetic and cosmetic practices due to the incredible cellular rejuvenation.

This plasma is different from the plasma that we use for our PRP Treatments which is the platelet rich plasma found in our blood. With the cold plasma energy of Renuvion skin resurfacing we can treat delicate areas such as the eyelids without causing damage to the surrounding treatment area.

Our board-certified plastic surgeons perform your skin resurfacing treatment as an outpatient procedure. Dr. Ruff uses the wand and gently “paint” the areas of the face with the cold plasma energy. Patients can treat the full face or target the peri-oral (mouth) or peri-ocular (eye) area. Renuvion skin resurfacing can be added to any of our cosmetic procedures for remarkable results.

Renuvion Skin Consultation

Our team will assist you with all the information you need for exceptional results with your Renuvion skin resurfacing procedure. We will address all your concerns ahead of time and discuss what your desired results are. The surgeon will also discuss the techniques and anesthesia options.

Prior to your procedure, we may have you do a series of two chemical peels to prepare your skin to ensure the best possible outcome.

Recovery After Renuvion Skin Resurfacing

To decrease the swelling and to escalate the healing process, after your procedure, you will have an combination of PRP and amnion, followed by a moisture infusing mask which will be kept on for 1-3 days. 5 days post procedure, you will need to return to the office for a cleansing facial. Typically, 5 days after that you will return for another facial and to make sure you are healing properly.

Initial swelling and bruising can take one to three weeks to resolve. It will take at least several months until the final result becomes stable. Skin resurfacing can cause pinkness for six to ten weeks post procedure. Make-up can easily cover this pinkness. Patients can take over the counter Tylenol to treat minor discomfort.
