Microneedling
One of the best ways for your skin to be able to actually absorb the moisturizers that you are putting on it is with a procedure like microneedling. Microneedling works by making tiny punctures in your skin. Because your skin is punctured, it more easily absorbs skin care products which will help it get hydrated. Typically, while we perform microneedling, we may also use a moisturizing serum at the same time which will be more easily absorbed than without microneedling.
Facials
If there’s one thing to know about facials it’s that they can really help you combat your dry, chapped winter skin. Moisturize
One thing we can’t recommend enough of is using a thick moisturizer during the winter. Unless you have naturally oily skin, a non-fragrance facial moisturizer shouldn’t break you out, but it will help you combat dry, irritated skin. Just make sure that you apply sunscreen over the top of it before you go out in the day. Then, at night, you can apply a really thick layer before bed; that way it has time to sit in your skin and slowly get absorbed.
