Virtue/Vivace

Virtue microneedling is a revolutionary radiofrequency device that can transform your skin with minimal to zero downtime.

It targets the “foundation” of your skin to stimulate collagen, which improves irregularities, as well as signs of aging like loose skin, wrinkles, and uneven texture. What is Virtue?

Virtue is a state-of-the-art radiofrequency microneedling device that uses 36 tiny gold-plated needles to deliver a very specific amount of energy at various depths beneath your skin. These small controlled injuries stimulate the body’s production of collagen, which leads to both immediate as well as long term improvements. The minimally-invasive benefits of Virtue are especially helpful for your face but can also be used to tighten areas like your neck, abdomen, arms, and more!

Radiofrequency Microneedling Treatment

How is Virtue different?

Traditional (non-energy) microneedling has been popular for decades and has proven benefits for your skin.

However, the improvements are modest and usually limited. Applying radiofrequency energy to the needles creates a stronger message to your skin, resulting in more collagen production and significantly greater enhancement. Compared to other energy-based microneedling devices available, Virtue excels in patient comfort and satisfaction due to the robotic precision in which the energy is delivered. This results in a near painless experience with almost no downtime. Typical treatments can be done on your lunch break without any need to hide!

How does Virtue work?

Virtue passes radiofrequency energy through tiny needles into specific layers of your skin. The depth can be customized down to 0.1mm to absolutely ensure that only the intended location is being affected. This allows for an effective treatment, without the recovery associated with less precise methods. While you may notice improvements after just one treatment, most patients choose a Virtue series, which consists of four treatments spaced one month apart. Results are usually apparent within several months and continue to get better and better over the course of one year.

Am I a candidate for Virtue?

You are a good candidate for a Virtue treatment if you are looking to reduce the appearance of fine lines or improve skin texture, contour, or laxity. Your skin will look healthier, younger, and more radiant.

However, if you have significant recent sun exposure, it may be best to wait until you are back to baseline. Since Virtue is treating below the pigment cells, it is safe to use on darker skin tones as well!

Frequently Asked Questions

A full-face Virtue treatment takes anywhere from 30-60 minutes. Additional areas like neck or abdomen add more time to each session.

The procedure is quite comfortable and one of the highlights of the Virtue device. However, your provider may use a topical numbing cream for additional comfort.

One of the main benefits of Virtue, is that there is essentially no downtime. You may experience mild swelling for a day or so, but nothing should prevent you from returning to your normal daily activities.

After your Virtue treatment, your provider will recommend an ideal post-treatment medicated regimen to take advantage of the small channels that are created within your skin. These heal quickly and you should be able to resume your normal skincare routine within several days to a week. It is important to keep your skin hydrated during your post-treatment period as well.

Absolutely! Since the Virtue targets the underside of your skin, one of the most beneficial things to add is a CoolPeel CO2 laser treatment, which can polish and enhance the top layers of your skin. The combination of these two treatments can lead to a powerful transformation. Additionally, injectable options such as fillers or Botox can also be considered. Your provider can help you decide the best way to get you your optimum result.
