Dr. Anthony Nye was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, where his passion for medicine began early.
After completing high school in just three years, he spent a gap year working as an office assistant at a family medicine clinic – an experience that solidified his interest in healthcare.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Cellular Biology from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina, graduating as valedictorian and receiving multiple departmental and university awards. Dr. Nye then went on to attend the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville on a merit scholarship.
Dr. Nye completed his plastic surgery residency at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, one of the most competitive programs in the country, where he received comprehensive training in both reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. In his final year, he served as Chief Academic Resident, developing a structured educational curriculum for junior residents and faculty. He was also awarded a research grant to enhance resident education and received leadership training scholarships from the American Medical Association and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Now thrilled to be practicing in the Washington, D.C. metro area, Dr. Nye is proud to join the team at West End Plastic Surgery. He views aesthetic surgery as a unique intersection of artistry and wellness, one that allows for deep, meaningful patient-physician relationships. He believes trust and openness are essential to helping patients reach their personal aesthetic goals.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Nye is a classically trained musician who plays both piano and violin. He lives in DC with his husband, his college sweetheart, and their two golden doodles.
